Question and Answers for Cabin Rental

The following questions are designed to answer some of the most commonly asked questions concerning our vacation rentals.

Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: The best way to book your cabin is by calling our office directly at 706-632-2606 and
speaking with our property manager for cabin rentals and/or by email at
northgeorgia4rent@tds.net for information, forms and availability.

Q: How can I pay for my reservation?
A: We accept MASTERCARD and VISA credit cards only. We also accept cash and
check as long as these are paid ten (10) days prior to the reservation or cash can be
paid on a walk in reservation during business hours.

Q: Can you charge my credit card to hold the cabin, but when we check in credit my card back so we can pay cash?
A: Unfortunately we are not able to do this. We are charged by the credit card company
every time we run a transaction. Also, since our cabins are keyless your check in may
be after hours and the cabin must be paid in full before the keyless code can be
processed.

Q: How old does an individual need to be in order rent a cabin?
A: All reserving guests must be at least 21 or older. Younger guests may be accompanied
buy a parent or an individual 21 or older.

Q: Can we check in early?
A: Check in time is at 3:00 p.m. and thereafter, as our cabins are keyless code pads
anything after hours is up to your travel schedule. However, you may call the office
the morning of your check in date and see if the cabin is ready early for your visit.
We are unable to tell you until the day of your checkin.

Q: When is check out?
A: Check out is at 11:00 a.m. except for on Sunday check outs, you are able to stay until
dark on Sundays.

Q: Do you require a security deposit before check in?
A: No, we will however, if necessary charge your credit card any damage costs should
any occur. This assessment is preformed after check out and up to ten (10) days
thereafter if no other renters have taken possession after your visit.

Q: Can we bring pets?
A: Yes, several of our cabins are pet friendly. You may visit our individual cabin review
in order to determine which cabin is pet friendly. Pets must however be well trained
and people friendly as there may be other individuals within your same area. You
must clean up after your pet inside the cabin. Pets are not allowed in the Hot Tub.
Pets MUST NOT be left alone in the cabin unless crated!

Q: How many people can stay in each cabin?
A: Our cabins differ in size and amenities. You may visit our website to determine which
cabin would best suit your needs.

Q: Do I need to bring any sleeping equipment for my stay?
A: No, all cabins are stocked with blankets, pillows, sheets, etc.. However, if you are
bring extra individuals that exceed the beds limit then you would want to bring either
blow up mattresses or pallet equipment for their comfort.

Q: What supplies are in the Kitchen of these cabins:
A: All of our cabins have a full refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher (with
exception of the river cabins that have under the cabinet refrigerators) coffee pot,
coffee filters, toaster, pots and pans, cork screw, can opener, blender, ice trays (or
icemaker), cooking utensils, dishes, silverware and glassware. Anything else you
need to bring.

Q: Does all of your cabins come with Satellite TV?
A: Yes, each cabin has either satellite TV or cable entertainment programs.

Q: Will my cell phone work at the cabin?
A: NEXTEL, VERIZON and CINGULAR seem to get the best service up here. We
cannot guarantee your phone will work at all of the cabins, however, most phones do
work in the town of Blue Ridge. All of our cabins have phones with local service only.

Q: Do cabins located on or near the water provide water equipment?
A: No, you will either need to bring your own equipment or there are places available
that you can rent tubs, jet skis, boats, etc…

Q: Are the cabins smoking or non-smoking?
A: Unfortunately we are not able to enforce guests not to smoke in the cabins. We do
request our guests smoke on the porch. After each guest checks out we air the cabins
out. We do our best to eliminate the smoke odors.

Q: Will our hot tub be cleaned before we check in?
A: Yes, it is our policy to drain, clean and chemical all hot tubs after each renter has
vacated the property. Due to this, please be aware that the water may be cold at check
in and will need time to heat up.

Q: What is there to do in Blue Ridge, Georgia?
A: The best place to check for local activities is on our website titled Local Events, there
you will find a list of monthly activities organized and listed by the Fannin County
Chamber of Commerce. Also you will find, for your convenience, a link to our
activities with pictures, available in our area to include water sports, horseback riding,
shopping, and restaurants in and around Blue Ridge.

Q: What is the weather like in Blue Ridge, Georgia?
A: We have all the changes of the seasons weather but to get a local forecast for your
scheduled visit please visit www.weather.com and place our zip code 30513 into the
appropriate box and it will pull up a ten day forecast record for you to review.

Q: Where is the nearest Grocery Store?
A: Off of 515 there are several grocery stores such as Ingles, Save-a-lot, and Food Lion.
If you are staying at one of our River Cabins, Aunt B’s Restaurant and convenience
store right off Aska Rd. or Vansant’s Convenience Store is close by off Newport Rd.

Q: Where is the closest Wal-Mart?
A: There are two Wal-Marts close to Blue Ridge. Ellijay has a Wal-Mart off 515 going
South and is approximately 15 miles from Blue Ridge. The other Wal-Mart is in
Murphy North Carolina down Hwy 64 and is approximately 25 miles from Blue
Ridge.

Q: What is your physical address?
A: Our physical address for the office is 8436 Aska Road, Blue Ridge, Georgia 30513.

Q: Can we use Map Quest or our GPS unit?
A: Yes, however the directions provided by our staff, to the rented cabins are correct and
accurate. As far as GPS units, again, it is a matter of having service as with cell
phones.

Q: Is firewood provided?
A: Most of our cabins are equipped with gas logs, therefore, firewood is not necessary.
However, should the cabin have a wood burning fireplace you will need to bring your
own or purchase wood in town.
